Unlike the Clan, in the Tribe "sun", "star", and "moon" are not sacred and can be used in a name. Now, Tribe names may seem quite unusual and confusing for some of us, but we have provided a little explanation for you.
First off, whatever the first word is in their name is usually what they go by. For example, Brook Where Small Fish Swim is known as Brook. In the same manner, Talon of Swooping Eagle is known as Talon. The names are also a bit rouge-like since they don't really tell much about how the cat looks or acts, where Clan names do. There is still some logic to be used in the names, though; you wouldn't name a white cat Night of No Stars (Night).
I also have a list of some names from the book, but do not use these! They are simply for your reference to help create your own names:
Bird That Rides the Wind (Bird) Brook Where Small Fish Swim (Brook) Cloud With Storm in Belly (Cloud) Dark Shadow on Water (Dark) Flight of Startled Heron (Flight) Gray Sky Before Dawn (Gray) Jagged Rock Where Heron Sits (Jagged or Jag) Lark That Sings at Dawn (Lark) Mist Where Sunlight Shimmers (Mist) Moss that Grows by River (Moss) Night of No Stars (Night) Pebble That Rolls Down Mountain (Pebble) Rain That Passes Quickly (Rain) Snow Falling on Stones (Snow)
It should be noted that tribe names remain fairly short, usually no longer that five words.
Still unsure? Go ahead and ask someone, we don't bite.
