Short Description: A mottled tabby with amber eyes and a white tail tip.
Description:
Gully is a short Munchkin and Flat-faced Persian mix. He inherited a flatted nose from his mother, which makes his eyes bulge and contrast from the rest of his face. Gully has sharp keen amber eyes that always seem to have slitted pupils most of the time, which make him somewhat untrustworthy considering he doesn't look the happiest cat in the forest.
He has short-ish legs, which at least flatten his height four inches below the average tom cat.
Gully's pelt is a deep brown, covered by stripes and spots. He can easily be seen with this pelt, unless it's in deep Summer or Spring, where the snow wouldn't make his dark pelt pop out. He has a bulky build, which is surprising considering he doesn't have much of a tall height.
Gully's tail has a white tail tip on the end of it, which is followed by two front paws that have splotches of white covering the toes.
Personality:
|Rude|Independent|Wary|Empathetical|Ambitious|Aggressive
(X)Rude-Deep Gully That Floods can be often rude at times, especially when another cat is forcing him into a commitment. He usually bites back his words if lectured, but he will put up a fight if he cannot stand one's words. With this trait, he speaks out loud when with a cat he dislikes, and is more likely to talk back if the cat tries to boss him around.
Unfortunately, he earned this trait when his teacher lectured him too much- causing him to snap.
(O)Independent-One thing about Gully is that he isn't that fond of big crowds. In fact, he doesn't like being helped by others. On certain terms, he'll allow help, but if he's being fussed over, he'll start ignoring the helping cat. Gully wants to be seen as a cat that can be trusted alone, and one that may have a short height but yet a strong feline. He can get carried away and start doing things that he is no match to, but he is trying to please his tribe with the ability such a cat could possess.
(X)Wary-If it weren't for this trait, Gully would be the most careless cat there was. He is cautious around new members, since he was once betrayed by his own blood. Gully can sometimes be too attentive and alert other cats for no reason. The worst thing Gully is careful about are shrubs, which could hide an intruder that was ready to pounce. Every night Deep Gully That Floods would check the clearing before heading to sleep, because he doesn't want cats killing him during his slumber.
(O)Empathetical-Through the rudeness, at heart, Gully can be a sweet heart. He shows his nice side only to friends, or to family. If one of Gully's blood, or friends, has a problem that saddens them, Gully will be there to help cheer them up. He Even if he fails in vain, Gully will try hard to show them the positives, especially if they lacked family or blood. This trait was used around Gully's brothers, who loved the tom's faith in cheering them up.
(O)Ambitious-Gully is ambitious, but in a good way. He strives to keep up anything if it means getting a hard-earned prize. He doesn't strive for any high ranks, no, he strives for a reason in life. Something that will grant him happiness when his days are over, and he will not sleep if it means not gaining something he actually deserved.
(X)Aggressive-Alongside wary, Gully can be a very aggressive and mean cat during battle. He will die for his tribe, and shows it in his effort to defeat foes. Whenever an intruder comes into the territory, Gully will be as rude and aggressive as he can, making the stranger feel unwelcome and anxious with the tom around. With this trait, he can easily be intimidating when he bares his teeth. Although he may think enemies lurk around the corner, Gully will get into defence mode, even if it's useless.
History:
Kit-Hood:
Before Gully had been kitted, a young hunter named Flower That Blooms In Meadow met Spark That Lights Wood. The two fell in love quickly, although they were blind to see that their parents didn't approve of the two hunters getting together.
Flower's mother ridiculed her for being with a Munchkin cat, but she ignored her parent's best attempt to stop the two from starting a family.
Soon, Gully was born to Flower- the first of the litter. Then came his littermates, which were MUCH more different then Gully himself.
He had four littermates, two being the big ones, and the two others being smaller then he himself. Their names were Twig That Snaps In Tree, Bird That Catches Fish, Eagle That Watches Sun, and Water That Falls From Cliff.
His littermates were kind to him over the course of two moons, often they brought him on small make-up adventures in the nursery, where they disturbed the other kit-mothers. Whenever one of them was sad, Gully would try to cheer them up. This helped a lot, and it let Gully develop a better bond with his siblings.
At the third moon, Flower was soon dis-owned by her family, and she became distraught. Her stress made Gully's siblings act mischevious, and soon they'd attempt to leave the nursery to get away from their mother.
Soon, Flower began getting farther away from the bonds mended by the kits and the she-cat, making life harder for Gully. They barely saw their mother every day, since she was off doing other duties then keeping an eye on her kits.
Soon, Spark started noticing this. He had a chat with Flower, telling her she was being irresponsible with her kits. The she-cat argued, saying her own family disowned her because she had kits of a fellow hunter.
These two fought until they could no longer stand each other, thus bringing their relation ship to an end. Spark still acted like a father around he kits, yet he respected the fact that Flower didn't want him around her kits when she was around.
After a while of raising kits by herself, by the fifth moon, Flower resigned as Gully's mother, and left the kits with a more hasty kit-mother.
That she-cat treated her adopted kits like slop, because she had three other kits to take care of. She would often lecture them if they tried to play with the she-cat's real kits.
But what the new mother hated was Gully's guts. She thought he was a lost cause, and started leaving him out of activities. His To-be ceremony was delayed because his new mother insisted that he wasn't ready to train, also that he looked too much a scrawny hunter.
Soon Gully became wary of his new family, and proved his rights to be a To-be a moon after the delay.
To-Be:
Gully's teacher was his adopted mother's mate, unfortunately.
His mentor was harsh on him, getting him up before his brothers in the morning, lecturing him if he didn't fight back. This went on everyday, and Gully soon became tired from all the hard work.
It was raining the day he snapped, and as usual, his mentor hurried him out of his nest.
Gully was too tired to train, but his mentor pushed him to the breaking point. The tom was now frustrated, and start hissing at his mentor.
His mentor was angry, and complained about how his To-be treated him. Fortunately, Gully was left to clean the Elder's den, and was no longer the To-be of the Guard.
Although, things weren't all happy when he was removed from training. His littermates made fun of him, because he wasn't as high as them in training. Even the two small runts of the litter made jokes of him, and Gully soon became less happy about his reputation.
For two moons he cleaned out the Elder's den, still humiliated by his blood relations. Even Flower, his own mother, was embarrassed of the tom's existence. This went on for many moons, until it was time that Gully became a guard.
Early Guard Years-
When Gully became a guard, people weren't too sure what to make of him. He seemed too small to be a guard but had too much of a bulky build to be a hunter. Often, cats would leave him out of patrols because they weren't so trusting of the new Guard.
By thirteen moons, Gully was soon more worthy of defending hunters while they hunted, and he gained a better reputation that erased the To-be history behind him.
One day, Gully was with a small hunter patrol near the border. A badger had stumbled onto their path, and Gully did his best to fight the beast.
The badger was fought by four Guards, one being Gully. Fortunately, it was only a young adult, and it didn't put up much of a fight.
Gully only got a small scar across his leg, which healed quickly. It cannot be seen from far, since fur covers it.
Due to this, many cats congratulated the four guards because of their bravery, although they fought for two minutes, it still seemed like a courageous fight.
Even Gully's mentor was surprised, and he gave a small compliment to the mottled tom when he passed through.
Flower's confidence in Gully rose again, clearly healed from the To-Be incident. She gave him a few licks, although she had resigned as his mother. His adopted mother interfered, saying he was no longer Flower's kit. She gave him a few words of wisdom, before returning to the crowd.
But the happiness would not stand, just like the To-be past.
Soon, Gully found out his brother, Twig That Snaps In Tree, had been crushed by a falling tree in the area.
It was a coincidence related to his name, and soon Gully started investigating what could of happened.
He checked the tree's roots, seeing they were sticking out of the soil. It seemed all along that Twig was crushed by an old tree that was leaning to the side, and it's roots got loose just at the time Twig was passing under.
His death was tragic, yet Gully pushed forward.
{side-note: Gully is now a 'senior' guard}
