tribe ranks;;
-High Ranks
Healer - The healer is the leader & medicine cat in the tribe world. He/she reads signs from the Tribe of Endless Hunting, heals the sick, and rules his/her Tribe like any Clan leader would. They always take on the name "Who Reads the Signs" But keep a part of their name, like "Red Who Reads the Signs"
Healer To-Be - This rank is somewhat a combination of the deputy & medicine cat apprentice roles, but leans more towards the medicine cat side. The Healer To-Be helps the Healer with his/her many tasks, learning along the way. Although one gets the privilege to learn from the Healer, a Healer To-Be doesn't have much say as to what goes on in the Tribe and will still sleep in the To-Be den for the length of their apprenticeship. They will stay a To-Be until their mentor, the Healer, heads off to the Tribe of Endless Hunting and they take over.
Head Guard - The Head Guard is like a Deputy; he/she makes sure all the other Guards are on their toes, watching over the camp, and organizes patrols around the territory.
Head Hunter - Also like a Deputy, he/she makes all the hunting patrols and makes sure no cats slack off hunting or go hungry. They try their best to keep the caught-prey pile stocked all year long.
Normal ranks;
Guard - Protectors of the Tribe, these are usually the biggest cats with a thirst to fight and are ready to risk their lives to keep others safe. Commonly, they're the first to respond to a battle, and they watch the skies around camp in case an eagle or hawk attempts to steal a kit.
Prey Hunter - Usually hunters are smaller cats, but not always. These cats catch prey for the Clan and they're good at it; they won't let their family starve.
Note: Not all cave guards are big, and not all hunters are small. Hunters will fight for the clan if need be, just as cave guards will hunt during times of great demand for food (generally in colder seasons).
To-Be(s) - Apprentices, assigned to a Hunter or Cave Guard to train in their respective fields.
Kit-Mothers - Queens. They care for their young, and inhabit the Tribe's Nursery.
Kits - Young cats under the age of six moons, kits still live with their mothers in the nursery until apprenticeship.
Elders - The oldest Tribe cats, retired from their everyday duties as Guard or Hunter. Their days are spent resting in the elders' den.
